Gulf Shores sits on the Alabama coast and includes 32 miles of beach that have washed down from the Appalachian Mountains thousands of years ago. The area is over 200 years old and not only home to historic sites, but also a state park, trails, and more.
- More than One Beach: You have 32 miles of beach to play with when you stay here, so you should spread your time throughout one of the many beaches. Just some of the beaches to see while you are here including Little Lagoon Pass Park off Highway 59, Gulf Place on Gulf Shores Parkway, and the Gulf State Park Pavilion on East Beach Boulevard.
- Endless Things to Do: The Gulf Shores are rich in activities. For the fisher in you, try a fishing charter. If you are a history buff, visit the Gulf Shores Museum, then book a coastal scenic kayak trip along the Byway. You also have hiking at the local State Park and wildlife preserves to explore when you need a break from the beach.
- Incredible Food: The Gulf Shores is home to some of the most excellent restaurants with fare ranging from American cuisine to excellent pastries to local breweries and even a cook your own catch restaurant.
- Weather: Weather is favorable year-round, which is why it is a popular vacation for snowbirds escaping wintry conditions. From November to March, you can expect temperatures to average in the 60s, but in April they start to climb, and during peak summer months (May through September), you have consistent temperatures in the 80s. Also, water temperatures reach their warmest from June to September.
